Workers sort and grade newly arrived produce. Dry and preserved foods and other essentials are displayed in a typical jaap foh poh, or mixed goods store. This includes fish, red onion, garlic, and peanut oil. Purchases would be wrapped in newspaper sheets hanging on the upper left side and tied with twine, pictured on the lower left. |
