The maze of narrow streets can be seen in the crowded Western District to the left. The distinctive tapered top of the Hongkong Shanghai Bank building can be seen to the far right. Nearby is the domed Supreme Court building and a field where cricket is being played. In the center of the photograph is the black-roofed Victoria Prison. The Jamia Mosque is in the foreground. Numerous ships dot the harbor. |
