Tsim Sha Tsui neighborhood had small hotels, bars and restaurants. In the foreground, to the left is the Star Hotel and to the righ, the Rose Hotel. These hotels, at the intersection between Nathan Road and Peking Road, stand among other arcaded and shuttered buildings. Observatory Hill, a dark vegetation mass in the middle background, was Hong Kong's main weather station and is still today. |
